Elis has been rated A- by CDP: Further recognition of the Group’s climate commitments

Elis’s climate change performance was rated A- (on a scale from A at the highest to D- at the lowest).
This score recognises the Group’s long-standing commitment to this issue, its commitment to tackling climate change and Elis’s unique positioning on the circular economy, which allows them to offer lower-impact solutions and sustainable alternatives to buying from new or using disposable solutions.

An excellent acknowledgement of the Group’s achievements!

The Group has been rated as A- by the CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), a not-for-profit charity that conducts independent evaluations on information provided by companies regarding their strategy, management, performance and even their stakeholder engagement regarding the environment.

This new rating shows the strides being made by Elis, who were previously rated B in 2021.

In 2022, more than 18,700 companies responded to the CDP climate change questionnaire. Only 283 companies received an A rating in 2022. This questionnaire, which is aligned with recommendations on climate-related reporting from the TCFD (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures), is used by investors and a growing number of companies wishing to assess their value chain’s engagement and climate impact.

Recognition of our CSR commitments

Rating agencies continue to recognise Elis Group’s commitment to CSR (for example, with EcoVadis Platinum certification and our improved score from Sustainalytics). These awards highlight our well-established and long-term commitment to CSR, our annual progress and the advantages of a circular economy model.

  • A business model adapted to new environmental challenges: Elis’s unique positioning on the circular economy allows customers to access lower-impact solutions and more responsible alternatives to buying from new or using disposable solutions. This circular economy approach makes it possible to maximise the use of products (including ranges that are designed to last, optimised maintenance and product repair), therefore reducing the pressure on resources
  • An ambitious commitment plan for 2025 focused on three central pillars: reducing our impact on the planet through circularity and exemplarity; supporting our employees’ development and making a positive contribution to society

The above examples of recognition and progress acknowledge the efforts made by our teams and reflect their daily commitment to making real change. We would like to thank each and every one of our team members for making a difference on a daily basis.
