Characteristics

Bacteria are single-celled living organisms ranging from 1 to 5 micrometres in length.

They have different shapes according to the composition of their cell wall (spherical, rods, curved or spiralled).

Develop in favourable surroundings: nutritional factors, good temperature, humidity, pH, O2 (aerobic, anaerobic)

Fungi

Characteristics

Eukaryotic microorganisms of vegetable origin

Transmission via inoculation, inhalation of spores or contact with an infected person or animal

Way of life

Live everywhere in the environment and propagate by diffusing spores into the air

Cannot reproduce alone, must enter a human cell to multiply
