Asian hornet

The Asian hornet is an invasive species originating from Asia, recently introduced in France. It has a complete metamorphosis cycle (egg, larva, nymph, and adult). In case of danger, the Asian hornet can sting successively while retaining its stinger, and at each sting, venom is injected into the blood. It feeds mainly on bees, flies, and caterpillars, but also ripe fruits and nectar. It makes its nest with cellulose fibers that it transforms into a paste, making it strong enough to protect it from rain or wind. Asian hornets are very dangerous to humans due to their venom, which can cause death.

Oriental cockroach

Oriental cockroaches, or roaches, are insects with an incomplete metamorphosis cycle (egg, nymph, and then they molt to become adults). Female cockroaches are dark, almost black in color and have short wings, while males are dark brown in color. These insects live in humid, dark and warm areas (cellars, sewage pipes, utility rooms, etc.). Cockroaches can climb on rough, but not smooth and vertical surfaces and have an omnivorous diet (garbage, plant and animal food). German cockroaches or roaches, are insects with an incomplete metamorphosis cycle (egg, nymph, then they molt 8 to 10 times before becoming adults). They are mainly active at night and live in warm, humid, and dark areas (garbage chutes, drains, electric meters, bathrooms, etc.). Their diet is omnivorous (garbage, plant and animal food). The German cockroach is the most common species of cockroach in Europe, representing 90% of infestations.
