Contributing to the development and wellbeing of our employees

Our human resources policy is based on four pillars:

  • Attracting talent,
  • Ensuring their fulfilment,
  • Training them in the Group's professions,
  • Helping them to develop.

We ensure that every employee can develop within the Group, according to their skills, their training aspirations and the professions available at Elis.
At Elis, we trust our employees by giving them responsibility, and we make sure to listen to them and support them as they develop. We continually monitor their fulfilment, well-being and safety.

Elis' strength lies in the women and men who make up the company, and we take particular care in the recruitment, training and personal development of our employees.’ - Didier LACHAUD

Health and safety

Our commitment for 2025: to reduce the frequency rate of workplace accidents by 50% compared to 2019.

At Elis, the well-being of our employees is a key responsibility. Beyond our policies and training programmes aimed at developing skills, we place health and safety at the heart of our priorities.

Every day, we take action to continuously improve working conditions, strengthen team commitment, promote daily satisfaction and contribute to the company's sustainable performance. The safety of everyone on our sites, whether they are our employees or our partners, is a requirement shared at all levels of the Group.

Our concrete actions:

  • Developing a strong safety culture by disseminating best practices and training all our employees.
  • Rolling out our safety standards and processes across all countries and business lines within the Group.
  • Ensuring compliance with local health and safety regulations.
  • Applying and embedding our 10 golden rules, established in 2020, which have become the foundation of our safety culture.

To raise awareness in an innovative way, a digital escape game was recently launched. This fun and interactive educational tool has won awards in France for its effectiveness and originality.

In addition, in the United Kingdom, Elis was awarded the prestigious RoSPA Gold award in 2024 for its health and safety performance.

Equal opportunities and non-discrimination

Equal opportunities and non-discrimination are at the heart of Elis' culture and are an integral part of our code of ethics. In line with this, we have set ourselves an ambitious target for 2025: to have 40% of our executives and managers be women. To support this ambition, we are carrying out numerous awareness-raising initiatives among all our employees, particularly during themed weeks dedicated to diversity and inclusion. On these occasions, various materials are distributed throughout the Group: posters, videos, newsletters, stands and events encourage discussion and strengthen collective commitment.

The Group is convinced of the benefits of diversity and is taking the following actions:

  • Actions to support gender parity at all levels throughout the Group.
  • Actions across the Group to promote the integration of people with disabilities by adapting workloads, providing additional supervision or specific support. In Spain, the Group has two specialised employment centres that employ a minimum of 70% of people with disabilities. In the Netherlands, Elis launched a pilot project in 2024 to refurbish and recycle sanitary appliances, in partnership with a professional integration organisation to promote the employment of people who are distant from the labour market. Also in the Netherlands, since 2022, certain purchases have been made from suppliers employing people who are distant from the labour market: office cleaning services provided by people with hearing impairments and purchases of bouquets of flowers assembled by refugees or people with disabilities. As proof of its commitment to this issue, the Group has held a dedicated certification in this market since 2023 (PSO – Prestatie Ladder Socialer Ondernemen – certification for the integration of social components into business practices, level 2). In Colombia, Elis has obtained RECA certification, which recognises the company's efforts to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities, particularly deaf people.
