The Elis Corporate Foundation supports deserving high school graduates who would otherwise be unable to pursue higher education due to their personal circumstances, by awarding them a scholarship and assigning them a mentor.

Who is eligible for the scholarship?

To obtain this scholarship, I must meet the following criteria:

  • I obtained my bachelor's degree.

    I obtained a bachelor's degree with honours (‘très bien’ or ‘bien’) in the year of the scholarship application or in the two years preceding the scholarship application.

  • I have a study project

    I have an ambitious study plan and am highly motivated to achieve it.

  • I am having difficulty financing my studies.

    I am experiencing financial difficulties that are incompatible with pursuing my educational plans.

What happens once you have submitted your application?

The selection committee will meet in early June to review the applications received.
Three days after receiving the baccalaureate results, it will determine which candidates will participate in individual interviews.

If your application is selected, please note that you will be required to attend an individual interview.

How long is the scholarship valid for?

The scholarship is awarded for one year and may be renewed depending on academic results, difficulties encountered by the student, changes in the family's financial situation and family circumstances. Renewal will be reviewed annually. The amount of the scholarship may vary each year depending on the course of study.

  • Can I send my application by post or email?

    Applications can be submitted digitally on the Elis Foundation website or by post. We recommend submitting your application digitally.

  • How is the scholarship paid?

    The scholarship is paid in three instalments at the beginning of each term. 

  • How does interaction with sponsors work?

    The mentor regularly accompanies the student, acting as a guide and providing advice and support. Regular communication with the young person takes place in person, by telephone, text message, or WhatsApp, depending on individual preferences and schedules. This personalised support can continue throughout the entire academic programme.

  • I have already completed one year of study. Can I apply?

    Yes, we accept applications from secondary school pupils and students in their first or second year of university (or equivalent).

  • I am preparing for a vocational baccalaureate. Can I receive support from the Foundation?

    Unfortunately, no, the Foundation is aimed at young people with a general or technological baccalaureate.

  • Do I have a chance if I have a ‘Assez bien’ grade?

    The young people selected must obtain a general or technological baccalaureate with the distinction ‘Très bien’ or ‘Bien’.

  • How does the individual interview work?

    The interview takes place remotely or in person with one or more members of the Foundation. The interview gives you the opportunity to introduce yourself, explain your motivations, your background and your career plans.

  • I do not reside in France or overseas, but I would like to come and study in France. Can I benefit from the Foundation's support?

    Yes, if your secondary school is officially recognised by the French Ministry of Education, regardless of the country in which it is located.

  • I would like to study abroad after my Baccalaureate. Can I get a scholarship?

    Yes, it is possible to obtain a scholarship to study abroad after completing your Baccalaureate, provided that your study programme is part of an academic course in collaboration with a French institution.

  • What academic backgrounds do you favour?

    We favour the following educational backgrounds: preparatory classes for business or engineering, IEP (Institute of Political Studies), PASS/LAS, dual degree in law, etc.

  • What should I include in my cover letter?

    Your cover letter should reflect your commitment and personality. Whether handwritten or typed, it should describe your educational and personal background (hobbies, commitments, academic background and career aspirations, etc.), as well as your motivations.

  • How to apply?

  • What supporting documents are required for the application?

    The following documents must be included with your application:  

    • Copies of your report cards for the first two terms of your final year of secondary school
    • Copy of the latest tax notice for persons living in the household
    • Copy of your identity document
    • Cover letter
    • Document relating to your application for or award of a CROUS grant.
