Bed bug
Bed bugs are crawling insects with incomplete metamorphosis. Attracted by odor and body heat, they feed on blood and bite hosts during the night. They can bite over 50 times a night, then they hide to digest for 5 to 7 days in the interstices (box springs, mattresses, changing rooms, cracks, footboards, curtains...) and can live one year without feeding. They are carried in traveler’s suitcases, bedding, and clothing. Bedbugs can survive a cold or warm water wash and thus contaminate the washing machine and the clothes that will be washed.
